Real Estate Can Be Safer Than the Volatility of the Stock Market

The good news about corrections and drops is that they are always followed by recoveries — always. A recession is possible, but until we know more about the coronavirus, we won’t know if, when, or for how long. It could be mild or major or not come at all. No one knows right now. Periods of stock market volatility can sometimes be good for real estate.

What we do know if that Stock Volatility is an excellent season to buy. When the stock market becomes this choppy, it’s wise to invest in a more reliable long-term asset — like a home. Sometimes those who exercise patience are rewarded for doing so.

Sellers need to know that when markets adjust, there is a flight to quality: quality stocks, quality real estate, quality agents, and quality brokerages. It’s a great moment to use Compass Concierge to make your listing really shine.

I tell my clients to focus on the positives, but don't deny the negatives. Facts are facts. Right now, we are not clear on any outcomes but even during the worst recession, people need to live somewhere. Always. People get married, divorced, have kids, die, make fortunes, and lose fortunes. Life always goes on.

No matter how complex and challenging the situations we face are, we’re going to get through them together.
